Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim - Beach Bunny 2014 Collection

The Beach Bunny 2014 swimwear collection at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami Beach is a sexy, boudoir inspired collection. The swimsuits from Orange County, CA designer Angela Chittenden make use of varied textures and patterns to achieve a look that is curvy and sexy while still maintaining an upscale sensibility.  Look for use of wild animal prints, metallics, and cut-aways on models that look like they are having a ton of fun wearing the swimsuits. One can only think they will be as much fun poolside or on the beach as they are on the runway.

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim - Suboo 2014 Collection

VIVE Katerin is on site in Miami Beach for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim 2014.  The hot weather and beach-side location at The Raleigh hotel is the perfect place to showcase designers 2014 swimwear collections.

The following photos are from designer Sue di Chio's Suboo brand's 2014 swimwear collection runway show July 19, 2013.  Suboo began as an company producing designer beach umbrellas and leveraged their success into a new swimwear line.  The collection features a mix of bold animal prints and geometric patterns. The patterned swimsuits and bikinis range from those with an art deco influence to big blocks and contrasting colors to add interest.

The "King of Bachata" Romeo Santos Live in Miami-Ft.Lauderdale

This past Friday 5/3, Latin Billboard Awards winning artist, Romeo Santos aka the 'King of Bachata' performed live at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL.  VIVE Katerin's photographer was on hard to snap some photos of Santos on stage.


For those of you who don't know, Bachata is popular style of music that originated in the rural areas of the Dominican Republic. Although Romeo Santos was born in The Bronx, NY, he became enchanted with bachata as a child and began singing at age 12.  He later went on to become the lead singer to bachata group Aventura. In 2001, Romeo set out on his own and released his first solo album, with single "You" that became a number one Latin hit.  He has since released numerous albums to much success with hit singles such as "Llevame Contigo", "Mi Santa" and "Promise", which features a collaboration with R&B artist, Usher.

Santos, who just kicked off his latest North American tour in support of his latest album "The King Stays King - Sold Out at Madison Square Garden (Live)",  arrived on stage on a giant throne and an over-sized crown adorned the stage.  He opened with his first hit "You", followed by "La Diabla" and "Malevo" and played many more favorites.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Miami - 13th Annual Miracle Maker Luncheon and Fashion Show

The Women's Committee of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Miami hosted their 13th annual Miracle Makers luncheon and fashion show fundraiser on May 2nd at the Ritz Carlton South Beach.  The benefit showcased the Spring 2013 fashion line from Saks Fifth Avenue Dadeland, FL.  This year's honorees included Rosy Cancela, Crystal Connor, Jaret L. Davis, Lana Desimne, Julie Grimes, Bill Jones, Liliam Lopez, Ron Magill, Alesia Mogul, Kristy Nunez, Suzie Sayfie, Susannah Shubin, Beth Tasca and Jeff and Yolanda Berkowitz. Special guest, actor Christian Slater stopped by to support the event
